This is just a snapshot of what people have to say after a major crime is reported. If you look at the comments and study them, you will notice that the whole conversation is changing.

As someone who works on the ground, the conversation about the violence is changing. You are witnessing how this is affecting all of us in and around Chicago.

Is a Conservative Latina with Street smarts, I get a lot of information out of my fellow citizens, they are waking up, and they are looking for a new conversation.

Some people I've spoken with have shared that they will be voting Republican in illinois. Too bad we can't get any brave Republicans to run near Chicago.

I have been trying to coordinate with my local GOP in illinois, but they have been ignoring all of my calls and emails. I guess I'm too pro-Trump for them. I speak with an urban accent, like President Trump.
