,1,Russian and Ukrainian sources have confirmed that Ukrainian air defenses on Sunday hit, over southern Ukraine and the Sea of Azov, two of Russia’s rarest and most valuable combat aircraft: a Beriev A-50 radar early-warning plane and an Ilyushin Il-22 airborne command post.
This is a major setback for President Putin’s forces and possibly the worst loss superseded only by the sinking of the Russian Black Sea fleet flagship Moskva.
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, the chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated on the Telegram app:
"Ukraine’s air force destroyed an enemy A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft and an enemy Il-22 air control center. I am grateful to the Air Force for the perfectly planned and executed operation in the Azov Sea region!"

Despite the White House's assurances last month that the president had no intentions of pardoning his son, the announcement came through on Sunday evening that he had pardoned him.
In a statement, he said, "Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter," for what he called a "miscarriage of justice."

,1,Egypt has ordered 16 tourism companies to be stripped of their licences for illegally facilitating pilgrims’ travel to Mecca. The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has also referred the managers of these travel firms to the public prosecutor’s office, as per the cabinet. The crackdown came after reports emerged of hundreds of people dying during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Most of these deaths have been attributed to extreme heat as temperatures soared past 51 degrees Celsius. An AFP tally on June 21, compiling official statements and reports from diplomats, put the toll at 1,126, with 658 of them from Egypt. Meanwhile, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has ordered that a "crisis cell" headed by Madbouly follow up on the deaths of the pilgrims.
